2016 Sony World Photography Awards: First Shortlisted Images Revealed

Calling all photographers—you still have time to enter the Sony World Photography Awards.

There are four categories you can join: OpenProfessionalYouth, or ZEISS.

You’ll have to be 12-19 to join the Youth competition, and while anyone can join the Open or ZEISS competition, if you apply to the Professional competition you won’t be allowed to be in anything else.

Winners and shortlisted photographers will get a ton of publicity, cash prizes, gear, and their images exhibited at Somerset House, London in April 2016.

The competition just announced some of the judges, which include picture editors from the British Journal of Photography, Time Out and the BBC.

If you think you have what it takes to win, apply here.
